About Let's Go Capture Mechanics
Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee use a completely different catching mechanic compared to other Pokémon games:
Modified Catch Rate: 1.85√(SpeciesCatchRate * (Players x Berry) * 1.25)
Catch Progress: 4√(10000/((1000-TotalCaught)/100)*CP+1)
Player Factor: NumberOfPlayers * (CatchProgress*(√((Player1Ball + Player2Ball)/NumberofPlayers)*NewbieModifier)^3)
Shake Chance: 65535 / (255/ModifiedCatchRate)^(1/5.33), with four shake checks required for successful capture.
The capture ring color is based on the final catch rate value:
- Red: < 32
- Orange: 32-64
- Yellow: 64-128
- Green: ≥ 128
Additional Factors:
- Previous catches increase your catch rate
- Higher CP Pokémon are harder to catch
- Better throw techniques (Nice, Great, Excellent) significantly improve catch rates
- Playing in co-op with 2 players can improve catch chances
- Early game (before Viridian Forest) has a 1.5x catch bonus
Note: This calculator simulates the catch mechanics from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, which differ significantly from other Pokémon games.
