About Legends: Arceus Catch Mechanics

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the catch mechanics are different from other games:

• Catch rate is directly proportional to the Pokémon's base catch rate
• HP affects catch rate: 1× at full health, 1.5× below 50%, 2× below 25%
• Research level increases catch rate: 1× at level 0, 1.1× at level 1-5, 1.2× at level 6-9, 1.3× at level 10
• The catching position matters: 2× from behind, 1.5× from side, 1× from front
• Pokémon awareness affects catch rate: 2× unaware, 1× aware, 0.5× alert
• Distracted Pokémon are easier to catch (2×)
• Alpha and Noble Pokémon have catch rate penalties (0.5× and 0.25× respectively)

The ball type also affects capture rate:

• Poké Ball: 0.75× modifier
• Great Ball: 1.5× modifier
• Ultra Ball: 2.25× modifier
• Heavy Ball: 1× base, 1.25× when Pokémon is unaware
• Leaden Ball: 1.75× base, 2× when Pokémon is unaware
• Gigaton Ball: 2.5× base, 2.75× when Pokémon is unaware
• Feather Ball: 0.5× base, 1.25× against flying/airborne Pokémon
• Wing Ball: 1.25× base, 2× against flying/airborne Pokémon
• Jet Ball: 2× base, 2.75× against flying/airborne Pokémon
